MORE Buttons! (The WHOLE WORLD LOVES ME!)

The WHOLE WORLD LOVES ME!
3 new 2.25" buttons at Surplus of Options!

Three buttons! I, Fred J. Henzel, hand drew one of these buttons. I digitally copied the drawing for the other two, and re-drew the text on each one, so they are all slightly different. Also, I signed each one, personally!

CONGRATS! You are the owner of a button! That's what you'll be hearing if you purchase one of these lovely buttons. Go to Surplus of Options and Lincoln and Waveland Aves. and tell someone there that you want to see Fred J. Henzel's buttons. You won't regret it!

Monkey Buttons

At Surplus of Options.

I have a limited series of four 3" buttons near the front counter at Surplus of Options, at Lincoln and Waveland Avenues in Chicago. These buttons feature a drawing by me of a monkey's face with a whole scene surrounding him of airplanes, front doors, Goodyear Tires, etc. IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE!

Anyway, there are 6 buttons total available. Four of them are limited edition high quality ink-jet prints, one is a one-of-a-kind print on brown paper, and one is the ORIGINAL DRAWING BY ME, FRED J. HENZEL. Each piece consists of the artwork laminated inside of a mylar coating for lifetime guaranteed freshness and cinched in the back with a steel ring and pinned backing, so you can go ahead and fasten one of these bad muthas onto your shirt. And who is behind this excellent craftsmanship? Busy Beaver Button Company, of course!

This Saturday I will be exhibiting new paintings at Chicago's Treasure Town located at 21st and Kedzie on the second floor. I am proud to be part of an extensive group exhibition there with many other great Chicago artists.

On the same night, I will be performing upstairs at Mortville with Yuo Suck.

Alex Terminated (Garbage Pail Kid Installation)

Here's an installation I recently did as part of a larger installation organized by Mortville. The whole show was an homage to Garbage Pail Kids--those gross-out trading cards parodying the Cabbage Patch Kids that Nancy Reagan didn't want us to have when we were growing up in the 80's-- and my particular piece was based on Alex Terminated, which happens to be from the newer series.
